01 · Scope

Who this policy covers.

“Song of Songs,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Song of Songs Recording Studio, the business identified on this website. This policy covers information handled through songofsongsrecordingstudio.com and direct inquiries arising from the site.

Third-party websites, applications, and services have their own privacy practices. This policy does not control what Google, FormSubmit, WhatsApp, telecommunications carriers, or other third parties do with information they receive under their own terms.

02 · Information collected

Information you provide and information generated by a visit.

Booking and contact information

The booking form requests a full name, email address, session type, approximate booking length, and project details. A phone number and preferred date are optional. If you call, send a WhatsApp message, email after a form submission, or otherwise communicate with the studio, the communication may also contain contact details and project information you choose to provide.

Technical and usage information

When the site is hosted, the hosting provider and security systems may receive standard request information such as an IP address, browser or device type, requested URL, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs. Google Analytics may also collect the usage information described below.

Information not requested

The website does not request payment-card numbers, bank information, account passwords, government identification numbers, medical information, or file uploads. Do not place that information in the project-details field.

03 · Analytics and cookies

Google Analytics 4 is used to understand site use.

Production pages use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to measure visits and understand how people use the website. In the current production configuration, the Google tag loads when a page loads. The tag can collect information such as pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location, browser and device characteristics, and interaction and timing information. Google explains that a visitor’s browser automatically sends information including the page URL and IP address when a site uses Google services.

GA4 commonly uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish visitors and sessions. Google states that GA4 uses an IP address during collection to derive general location and discards the IP address before the information is logged in Analytics.

The website code is not configured to send booking-form field values to Google Analytics as event parameters. Analytics data is processed by Google under Google’s own terms, settings, and retention controls. You can restrict or delete cookies through your browser. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies or using the add-on may not prevent every type of server or third-party request.

04 · Forms and email

Booking requests are handled through FormSubmit and email.

The site is static and does not maintain its own booking-form database. When you submit the form, the information is posted to FormSubmit, a third-party form-delivery service, and relayed to an email inbox operated through Google’s Gmail service. FormSubmit and Google may process and retain information under their own policies and service settings.

FormSubmit publishes information about its practices in its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. A form confirmation indicates that the request was submitted for delivery; it does not guarantee email delivery, a response, availability, pricing, or a confirmed booking.

05 · Third-party services

Maps, WhatsApp, phone calls, and external links.

• The About page contains a Google Maps embed, and directions links open Google Maps. Loading or using those features can provide Google with technical and usage information.
• Choosing WhatsApp opens a service operated by WhatsApp/Meta. WhatsApp receives information associated with that visit and any message you send under its own privacy policy and account settings.
• Choosing the call action uses your device and telecommunications carrier. The carrier and device platform may process call metadata under their own policies.
• Other external links take you away from this website. Review the destination’s terms and privacy policy before providing information.

06 · Uses

Why information is used.

Information may be used to:

• receive, evaluate, and respond to an inquiry;
• discuss possible services, participants, scheduling, technical needs, pricing, and studio access;
• operate, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the website and contact process;
• understand aggregate website traffic and usage;
• maintain business and communication records; and
• comply with law, enforce applicable agreements, and protect people, the studio, and its rights.

The website currently has no newsletter signup. If a separate marketing program is introduced later, the applicable notice and choice requirements should be addressed before that use begins.

07 · Disclosure

When information may be shared.

Information may be disclosed only as reasonably relevant to the purposes above, including to hosting, analytics, mapping, form-delivery, email, communications, security, technical-support, and professional-service providers; to people involved in evaluating or performing requested studio work; when required by law or legal process; to protect safety, rights, or property; or in connection with a legitimate sale, transfer, financing, or reorganization of the business.

The website is not designed as a data-broker or lead-resale service. Some privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” more broadly than an exchange for money, particularly where analytics or advertising technology is involved. The classification can depend on provider settings and applicable law. Applicable requests can be made as described below.

08 · Retention

Information is kept according to its purpose.

Inquiry and communication records may be kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond, plan or perform requested work, maintain business records, resolve disputes, protect the studio, and satisfy legal, accounting, or operational requirements. Exact periods vary with the nature of the inquiry and any later business relationship.

Third parties set their own retention periods. Analytics retention depends on the GA4 property settings and Google’s policies. FormSubmit and email providers may keep submission or delivery records under their own policies, backups, security procedures, and legal obligations.

09 · Choices and rights

You can ask about your information.

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about certain disclosures, or to object to or opt out of certain processing. These rights are not absolute and may be subject to identity verification, legal exceptions, and record-retention duties.

Use the Contact page and write “Privacy request” in the project-details field. Do not send identity documents unless the studio specifically requests an appropriate verification method. You can also manage cookies through your browser and use Google’s opt-out tool linked above.

10 · Security

No internet or email method is risk-free.

Reasonable steps may be used to limit access and protect information, but transmission through a website form, email, analytics tool, telecommunications network, or third-party service cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure, private, uninterrupted, or error-free. Use the form only for information appropriate to an initial business inquiry.

11 · Children

The website is not directed to children under 13.

Song of Songs does not knowingly request personal information through this website from children under 13. A parent or legal guardian should make inquiries for a minor. If you believe a child submitted personal information without appropriate permission, send a privacy request so the situation can be reviewed.

12 · Changes and contact

This policy should follow the site’s actual practices.

The policy may be updated when the website, service providers, or information practices change. The effective date at the top will identify the current version. Materially different uses of previously collected information will be handled as required by applicable law.
